Aurore

Aurore is a wonderful freelance illustrator and comiker from France. She is incredibly accomplished and has had four graphic novels, four sketch books published and also had many illustrations published in various books and magazines, full details can be seen here. Aurore works primarily in Photoshop using a Wacom Intuos3 A4 size graphics tablet.

Kokoro's First Award!

The Kreativ Blogger Award was given to me by Aury at An Ordinary Girl's World.
Thank you so much!

Now I have to write seven things about myself, and then pass the award on to seven other bloggers I admire.

About me:
1. As a child I moved house six times, not including living in my sisters flat and living in a motel, and I've lived in three countries, England, The Philippines and Scotland.

2. Aside from my blog I write anime and manga reviews for Otaku News, Anime UK News and UK Anime Network, and I am currently working on a book about anime and a sci-fi novel for teenagers.

3. I love children and the elderly. They're just more interesting and outspoken than most people, and definetly more intelligent and capable then others tend to think.

4. I adore animals, I wanted to be a vet when I was a child until I realised that you have to put animals to sleep sometimes and that makes people cry. I don't want to upset anyone.

5. I spend an unhealthy amount of time online, most of that time is spent reading blogs, looking at art, researching anything and everything that crosses my mind and talking to people.

6. I have a big extended family but I could never list all the members, we'd be here all day! I'm twenty-one and the youngest of three girls, my sisters are nine and twelve years older than me.

7. I love technology, and I don't understand others aversion to it and why people will cling to old technology. I hope I'm still around when they make affordable androids.

Holunder

Holunder, or Hannah, is a sixteen year old girl from west Germany. She uses a Nikon D90 digital camera and a Sigma 18-200mm lens. She also sometimes uses a Lumix tz5 camera.

Hannah describes herself as a "sixteen year old girl who is interested in photogrpahy and fashion design", and for someone so young she has a lot of talent and a nicely varied portfolio.

MumboJumbo

MumboJumbo, or Alena Wooten, is a twenty-seven year old sculptor from New York. Alena sculpts using Scupley clay and often sculpts characters from films or comics, and is often commissioned to sculpts other people's characters.

Alena at work, she mainly uses the tool featured at the bottom, a rubber tipped tool like a brush. She also uses these items while making a model.

Rebecca Latham

Rebecca Latham is a female traditional artist who creates detailed watercolour paintings of wildlife and nature. Her work has been exhibited in galleries across the US and abroad. She also holds memberships in numerous prestigious fine art societies worldwide. Throughout her career as an artist she has raised thousands of dollars for wildlife conservation. Rebecca is also dedicated to preserving the tradition of miniature painting in all of its forms, as well as encouraging young people to take an interest in art and wildlife. "Through her artwork and paintings, she hopes to bring the beauty of wildlife and wild places to the public."

MirrorCradle or Abigail Larson says on her website that she is influnces range from Edgar Allen Poe to Lewis Carroll to Dr. Seuss, but change weekly. She also says that her greatest artistic influences have been Arthur Rackham, John William Waterhouse and Edward Gorey.

Nati is an Italian fantasy illustrator and comic book artist. She works part time as a freelance artist. Nati mainly uses markers in a painting style, often utilising mixed techniques like watercolour, coloured pencils and soft pastels.

lolita-art

lolita-art, real name Daniela Uhlig, is a female 27 year old digital painter and illustrator from Berlin, Germany. At the moment she works for a company, creating designs, illustrations and graphics. At the same time Daniela also works as a freelance artist in the same area of work.

Daniela's art is always full of strong characters, they all seem to have a personality and really come out of the screen. None of the characters are flat; they all have a bit of a twist to them, something about them that makes them seem real.

Daniela is currently in an exhibition in Berlin.
